A firm which specialises in a mobile repair service for smartphones and tablets is to launch in Kent.
The deal will see WeFix operate across the county as part of a phased roll-out which will see it operating across the UK by the end of year.
The firm is the UK's only Samsung-approved at-home repair service.
It has grown rapidly since a six-figure investment from telecommunications firm Onecom in 2017.
It now hopes to have 51 vehicles operating by the end of 2018.
By logging on to its website, customers will be able to book appointments.
Darren Ridge, CEO of Onecom, said: “We’re delighted that WeFix is to partner with Samsung on an innovative service delivering a new level of value to customers. With fully trained, reliable and trustworthy specialists that deliver a high-standard and convenient mobile service, repairing Samsung devices will be both simple to organise and effective in the long run.”
Brian Ford, director, customer experience, Samsung UK & Ireland, said: “The introduction of this doorstep repair service shows our dedication in meeting the high standards of product care and convenience that our customers expect of us."
WeFix was founded by Oliver Murphy, who in 2014 secured a £50,000 investment from Dragons’ Den star Kelly Hoppen for his business, Reviveaphone. The company later bought back Hoppen’s shares as it evolved into a mobile repair service, before securing investment from Onecom owners Darren Ridge and Aaron Brown.
