Special person Charlotte Box, events co-ordinator at East Malling Conference Centre, has won a top industry anniversary award.

She was presented with a special MIA-List plaque at an award ceremony hosted at the Victory Services Club by the Meetings Industry Association (MIA).

The MIA celebrates its 21st anniversary this year and marked the occasion by launching the MIA-List to "celebrate a collection of special people selected from all sectors of the industry, their own colleagues or customers as being people that are truly an example of the passion, dedication and commitment that is mirrored throughout the industry.

"It is awarded to those genuinely hardworking, passionate and creative, those that stand out among others, but ask for no thanks other than to achieve the excellence they seek."

Cassie Luchford, East Malling venue manager, said: "We are so proud that Charlotte has been awarded the MIA-List award as it recognises her true dedication to the conference business, its continuing success and delivering excellence in customer service."

The East Malling Conference Centre is a purpose-built venue for business meetings, conferences and training events.

There are five meeting rooms, the largest seating up to 200 delegates.

Set among 200 hectares of fruit orchards this venue prides itself on excellent service and value for money.
