William Addis, formerly head of the employment team at Clarkson Wright and Jakes, has joined the Employment and HR team at Brachers.
His arrival brings the number of employment law specialists to 10, the largest team rated by either the Legal 500 or Chambers guide to the Legal Profession in Kent.
With more than 11 years' post-qualification experience in employment law, Mr Addis is regarded as a leader in his field.
His role involves advising HR managers, defending tribunal claims, negotiating exit strategies, advising on the employment law implications of business sales and purchases, mergers, tendering and TUPE, and drafting employment contracts and service agreements.
He said: "I am delighted to join Brachers and eager to apply my expertise and experience to the new challenges the role will bring."
The firm has also been joined by three newcomers: Colin Smith (associate in the employment and HR team), Kuldip Matharoo and Clare Pullinger (both solicitors in Brachers' expanding commercial property team).
Managing partner John Sheath welcomed the newcomers, saying their outstanding talent, knowledge and skills would "reinforce and enhance our existing resources".
