Entrepreneurs looking for their first office can get discounts on a hotdesk sitting with other business owners.
Discovery Park, the commercial property site in Sandwich, is offering a summer sale through August for facilities in its Start Up Zone.
The offices were set up as a spring board for entrepreneurs looking to launch the next big thing, giving them access to potential customers also based at the site, which is home to 115 companies employing just over 2,200 people.
The price of a hot desk has been reduced to £99 a month, plus VAT, or £600 plus VAT for a year.
Creative and design business Howell and Hicks won a six-month free hot desk at last year’s Kent 2020 Start-Up Live event and has since signed up for another year.
Director Jen Howell said: “Our business card was picked out from hundreds, possibly thousands, so it really was just being at the right place at the right time – a big dose of luck which every start-up business needs.
“The Start Up Zone gives us the flexibility our deadline driven business needs, offering fledgling businesses an invaluable foot on the Discovery Park ladder. It’s a great place to meet new business contacts and make new friends.
“The place somehow manages to be big and friendly at the same time. I’ve been amazed by the community spirit and opportunities to network.
“Everyone seems genuinely keen to support each other. Being on-site definitely opens up opportunities to work for, and collaborate with successful businesses of all shapes and sizes.”
Discovery Park will support another business with a hot desk giveaway at this year’s Kent 2020 Start-Up Live, being held on Tuesday, October 20, at Kent Event Centre at the Kent County Showground, Detling.
