This new event in Medway gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and meet contacts to boost your business and it’s free to register!

The first ever Medway Business and Skills Showcase event will take place on Wednesday 10 April at MidKent College and those interested in attending can book their free tickets here.

This event, which is available to all businesses from Medway and Kent, will celebrate the best of business in Medway, with a packaged agenda full of resources and information useful for any business, whether you’re just starting out or looking to develop your business and skillset.

The day will include:
- Informative talks from business experts
- Drop-in advice sessions
- Business exhibition
- Networking and entertainment

With over 14,000 businesses and an economy worth £5.9 billion, Medway prides itself on being one of the most promising growth areas in the south-east.

The day’s agenda will include fascinating discussions, speeches and expert advice including:

- Growing your business in Medway: A panel discussion
- Getting the most out of AI for your business
- Influencing careers education
- Boosting your workforce
- How to have fun at work
- A new approach to create outstanding leadership and workplace culture

Meanwhile, design art students at MidKent College were recently challenged with creating a logo for the upcoming Medway Business & Skills Showcase.

Those students who took part in the creation of the event’s logo were mentored by Clockwork Moggy, a marketing agency based in Rochester, before their entries were judged and the final design for the Showcase was chosen.

Megan Mackenzie’s design was selected as the winning design and was presented with a certificate by Cllr Lauren Edwards, Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Economic Regeneration & Inward Investment.
