Tea Cafe and Restaurant in Canterbury opened its doors for the first time on Monday 17 June with owner Safet Rahimov saying the local community will be offered a menu that is “quite different to what is already available in the area”.

Located at Canterbury Lane (CT1 2HL), Tea Cafe and Restaurant is a family-owned business and the second of Mr Rahimov’s restaurants, with the other having operated in Dover since March 2019 on 2-3 London Road.

.

“We managed to create a successful business in Dover and due to the popularity of our traditional English breakfasts, we decided to open a second location right here in the heart of Canterbury,” said Mr Rahimov, who has over 20 years of experience in the catering and hospitality industry.

“The key to our success is simple: we strive to provide consistent food, quality service and fresh local ingredients that taste great every single time. I think the menu is quite different to what is already available in the area. But I also want to reinvigorate the building and bring it back to life."

.

There is a wide range of dishes on offer from paninis, hot and cold sandwiches to omelettes, burgers, and daily specials as well the hugely popular Sunday roast.

He adds: “Customers have a wide variety of things to choose from including our mind-blowing ‘Eat as Much as you Like’ all-day breakfast for only £8.99 per person. This breakfast is freshly cooked to order

.

“Both myself and everyone else at Tea Cafe cannot wait to greet our new customers.”
