A COMPANY director from East Malling has been banned from holding a directorship after three of his companies racked up debts totalling more than £800,000. William Meeks, of Stickens Lane, was a director of construction firms, Taskforce Labour Hire and Premier Staff - both in London - and Aston Construction Services in Sittingbourne.

He was disqualified from being a company director for 10 years by the Insolvency Service in a hearing at the High Court in London. Fellow director Declan O'Hara, from London, was given an eight-year ban.

Taskforce Labour Hire was wound up with estimated debts of £341,241. Aston Construction Services and Premier Staff both went into voluntary liquidation with debts of £59,434 and £421,604 respectively.

A DIRECTOR of a management business that failed with total debts estimated at around £260,000 has pledged not to hold directorships or take part in company management for four years.

The undertaking by Gregory Victor Pope of Roseleigh Road, Sittingbourne, was given in respect of his conduct as a director of Roseleigh Management Services Ltd, which carried out business from premises at 97 London Road, Teynham.

The company was placed into voluntary liquidation in January last year with estimated debts of £267,686 owed to creditors.
