DOVER Marquee Company is celebrating its success in winning a national award. Managing director Peter King was presented with the trophy at a ceremony during the annual conference of the Made-Up Textiles Association, the professional body for marquee suppliers, held in Warwick.

The company's entry was based on the provision of an impressive VIP reception area on the stern promenade deck of a Superseacat for a reception to mark the launch of Hoverspeed's cross-Channel fleet.

"It represents an outstanding achievement by a small and dedicated team and I was immensely proud when the judges' final decision was announced," said Mr King. The Dover Marquee Company, based in Astley Avenue, has developed under the guidance of three generations of the King family.
