Tenterden High Street will come alive with festive cheer as the annual Christmas Market returns from Friday 22 November to Sunday 24 November 2024, coinciding with the town’s Christmas Lights Switch On during the Friday evening.
Building on the success of the past few years, the event will extend further along the High Street and onto Tenterden Greens towards the war memorial to accommodate approximately 100 stalls.
Visitors will be able to indulge in warming street foods, mulled wine and festive treats whilst shopping for unique, handmade gifts. Live festive entertainment will take place on three stages positioned throughout the town centre all weekend including music from local groups and the stars of Tenterden Panto on the Friday evening.
This year Santa will be spending two days preparing for Christmas in his grotto at Tenterden Christmas Market on the 23rd and 24th November. Visits for children to see Santa must be pre-booked in advance via the Zoom Events website here Shop - Zoom Events to avoid overcrowding.
Each child visiting Santa will receive a special gift and should have their Christmas wish list ready! Other children’s entertainment will include live story-telling, face painting and small fairground rides.
Situated amongst a host of independent shops and now one of the largest Christmas events in the area, Tenterden Christmas Market is a treat for shoppers not to be missed. Being in the centre of town, public transport stops close by.
Meanwhile, Kent and East Sussex Railway Co. are kindly making their car park available to visitors at a charge of £8 per car per day, opening one hour before until one hour after the market each day.
Tenterden Christmas Market is free to enter and will be open on Friday 22 November (12pm – 8pm), Saturday 23 November (9am – 7pm) and Sunday 24 November (10am – 5pm).
