WEEKS Laboratories, the construction materials testing arm of Maidstone-based Weeks Group, has bought another testing company. Ryton Testing Services, part of the RMC Group, is based in Newcastle and employs 12 staff.

It tests a wide range of materials and specialises in environmental analytical chemistry. Weeks Group, which has its headquarters in Newnham Court, now has six laboratories, eight offices and a workforce of 400.
