Warners Solicitors, which has offices in Tonbridge, Paddock Wood and Sevenoaks, is injecting a "four-figure" sum into The Stag Theatre,Sevenoaks.
The sponsorship is a welcome signal of support for a theatre that is in crisis talks about its future funding.
Terry Shaw, the theatre's general manager, warmly welcomed the deal.
"In these uncertain days, it is good to know that a firm such as Warners, whose profile extends across the district and beyond, recognises the importance of the Stag to the community," he said.
Bill Wass, senior partner with Warners, said: "The Stag Theatre is a wonderful arts venue in Sevenoaks and as a local business, we feel it is important to position ourselves as firm supporters to help ensure the theatre's future.
"We recognise that The Stag has potential for continued growth and that its facilities are an important part of the community."
In exchange for its sponsorship, Warners' name will be given a high profile in The Stag's marketing literature and the firm's staff involved in
theatre activities.

The future of the well-regarded theatre, function room, and two cinemas was plunged into uncertainty by proposals to cut its council subsidy.
Sevenoaks council is in what are described as "sensitive negotiations" with The Stag's management team over the level of subsidy and future direction of the complex.
Mr Shaw said: "To have Warners Solicitors as a major sponsor can only help us to ensure the future of The Stag Theatre."
Theatre chiefs hope to attract further commercial sponsorship following Warners' lead.
