THE sky is the limit for high-flying entrepreneur Tony Richards, who has brought Display Aerobatics to Rochester airport.
Tony started flying gliders when he was just 14 years old and became a fully qualified instructor by the age of 21.
Now he runs three aeroplanes from the Kent airport available for long and short term corporate branding, aerobatic routines, displays and corporate hospitality flights.
He decided to form the limited company three years ago after completing a two-year contract with One 2 One Mobile.
He had taken the company's fully branded plane to air shows and events across Europe giving breathtaking displays as well as providing press and corporate hospitality flights and prize flights for company competition winners.
Business Link Kent is helping Tony develop his business website and market Display Aerobatics to companies across Kent and the South East.
"There are very few companies in the UK offering aerobatic displays and corporate branding of aeroplanes -- the equivalent of a moving promotional billboard," he said.
"Aeroplanes can be branded long term for a company but with current technology it is also simple to apply corporate branding or product information for one day, a weekend, or just for a specific event.
"Aeroplanes attract interest both on the ground and in the skies. They are an incredibly powerful marketing tool, easy to take to a large number of locations and very versatile."
Tony, who used to run the vintage plane Tiger Club, at Headcorn, is currently flying three aircraft from Rochester -- an open-cockpit Boeing Stearman bi-plane, a modern Slingsby military training plane and an American Second World War Piper Cub observation plane.
