BENTLEY'S Fine Art Auctioneers, Cranbrook, has secured a top ten position in a national magazine's who's who of auctioneers. The company, based in Waterloo Road, has been operating for ten years. Managers were not even aware they featured in the Period Living list until last week, when a customer congratulated them.

The list is featured in this month's edition. Managing director Raj Bisram said: "It came as a surprise. They must have come in without us knowing. But I suppose that is the best way to do this sort of thing." Auction houses were rated and Bentley's finished up at number ten in the top auction houses in the south east.

Mr Bisram said: "We are very, very pleased that in such a relatively short space of time we have been listed. We will continue to work to get better and better and we're pleased to be recognised."
