Tunbridge Wells salon's delight at double award success

A KENT hairdressing salon is celebrating after winning two prizes at seperate national awards ceremonies..

The Chapel, based in Tunbridge Wells, won both the UK Website of the Year sponsored by Scharzkopf Professional at the British Hairdressing Business Awards and the award for Customer Care sponsored by Thalgo at the British Beauty Awards.

The British Hairdressing Business Awards are in their seventh year and are designed to recognise commercial success in the hairdressing industry.

The Website of the Year is regarded as being one of the most exciting categories within the awards and salon owner Toby Dicker expressed his pleasure at scooping the accolade, which was announced by television and radio personality Phil Jupitus.

He said: "I am absolutely delighted to win this award but it is definitely not a personal award. This award is dedicated to the professionalism, inspiration and amazing enthusiasm of the entire team at The Chapel."

Jayne Lewis-Orr, editor-in-chief of Hairdressers Journal International, said: "Entries were alive with innovation, enthusiasm and entrepreneurial expertise showing amazing skills across the breadth of business management.

"The judges had an extremely difficult job as standards were so high – to be chosen as a winner at both the British Hairdressing Business Awards and British Beauty Awards is a tremendous testimony to The Chapel’s inspirational business acumen."
