HIGH standards in staff development and training have earned Tender Loving Carers, Oxford Street, Whitstable, and Northgate Medical Practice, Canterbury, Investors In People awards.

Kim Grutzmacher, of Tender Loving Carers, said: "We were a small domiciliary care company. The process has enabled us to confirm our level of training and the ability of our staff."

Lisa Chapman, practice manager at Northgate Medical Practice, said: "We are a GP surgery with 33 staff and felt that going through the Investors process would improve our working practices.

"On our initial assessment we only met one of the criteria so we are particularly proud to have achieved IPP recognition."
