A 102-year-old charity which supports village community projects has appointed financial advisors to help it invest its wealth.
The Hatch Charity was set up by the people of Lenham, near Maidstone, and has supported worthy causes for residents since 1913.
Trustees have appointed Facts & Figures, a wealth management company in Ashford, to help it decide where best to spend its reserves.
Its recent projects include purchasing tables and chairs for the Lenham Nursery School.
The Hatch Charity’s chairman of trustees Nick Osborne said: “As a local charity we were delighted to appoint a local firm to support us to ensure we are professionally advised, properly supported and most importantly that the monies for which we are responsible are appropriately invested.
“We were enormously impressed with Facts & Figures presentation, their existing client list and their obvious expertise and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”
Facts & Figures, founded by husband and wife team Simon and Pam Webster in 1994, manages more than £100 million for its clients with individual investments ranging from £15,000 to in excess of £5 million.
Managing director Mr Webster said: “We are delighted to have been appointed by this important and well-respected locally-based charity.
"That we won this account as a result of a process of competitive tender is a source of enormous pride.
“Financial markets continue to be unpredictable and we believe our formal process of thorough diversification and constant review is the only way to protect client money and optimise their returns.
"We are looking forward to working with The Hatch Charity in the years to come.”
