A major online skills fair for the South East takes place next week - giving youngsters and adult job seekers the chance to get on the right path to a career.
South East Careers is being staged by the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP) and the South East Digital Skills Partnership.
Running over two days on Tuesday, October 19, for youngsters aged 15-plus, and Thursday, October 21, for adults, the event will allow those logging-on to explore work experience opportunities, placements and job vacancies, as well as learn of routes to new careers.
It promises a virtual auditorium and virtual exhibition hall to connect attendees with local projects and employers.
There will also be an address from Robert Halfon MP, chair of the education select committee.
SELEP digital skills partnership coordinator, James Wilkinson, said: “This event is the cornerstone of the South East LEP’s skills agenda and ongoing work of the Digital Skills Partnership. We are delighted to be able to provide a safe, accessible virtual environment for young students and adult job seekers alike to hear from a range of employers, and discover the endless options that are available out there.
