A boutique event catering company has won a major award.

Touchays, based in Hythe, was named the best wedding caterers in the county in the Lux Global Excellence Awards.

Lux is luxury lifestyle magazine.

The family-run company had previously won at the Kent Wedding Awards.

It comes as the firm, founded in 1994, celebrated its 25th anniversary.

Clare Smith, owner, said: “As a family-run catering company you can imagine how thrilled we all are to now have won an international award.

"This is an important award as the magazine editors recognise that the hospitality industry has grown so significantly, and this, combined with increasing customer expectations and dietary requirements, has presented many new challenges for companies, like ours, across the event catering industry.

"We are therefore delighted to accept this award, as a testament to the skill and commitment of the team - this is such a great validation of their hard work and dedication to getting the food and service right every time.”
