CORSETS, ceramics and children's clothing will be among the products and services on display at the Kent County Show.
Once again, young entrepreneurs supported by The Prince's Trust, a charity founded by Prince Charles, will provide the business heart of the show being held on July 16, 17 and 18.
This year's stand will be bigger than ever, covering 650 square metres and featuring 21 businesses, half of them at the show for the first time. Another first is a stage area where colleges and entrepreneurs can display their services and products in a lively way.
Making her first appearance will be Sarah Snow, whose business Custom Corsets is already attracting the attention of people wanting to catch the latest fashion trend.
Award-winning Laura Cloke, of Ell and Cee, designs and makes her own range of exotic underwear. The former Shell LiveWire entrepreneur of the year will be making another appearance at the show.
Another award-winner, Julia Cook of TickittyBoo, a children's clothing design business, will also be showing off her wares.
First-timer Kate Shearcroft will be displaying her range of puppets, while Mark Brann of the Exotic Pet Centre, Maidstone, will bring his reptiles back to the show for another eye-catching appearance.
Among the services on show will be martial arts training (Barry Phelan's Wu Gong Martial Arts Academy), film and television memorabilia (Dominic Manning's Behind the Scenes), child portraits (Denise Rimmer's Snapdragon), and landscaping (Steven Thompson's Living Landscapes).
Vanessa Alcock, another award-winner, will be serving coffee just as she does at S'VIVE Coffee Shop in Sheerness.
Ron Dunham, the Trust's regional manager for Kent, said it was the charity's ninth year at the county show.
He said: "It's to support the young people, particularly the fledgling businesses and given them an opportunity to present their wares in a public arena for the very first time. It's a learning experience for them, they can do market research on what people do or do not want."
