2 sought after attack on woman

KENT Police are appealing for witnesses after a 29-year-old woman was assaulted as she walked home alone.

The woman was walking along Chalk Pit Hill, Chatham, towards flats in Bryant Street, when she noticed two men. One of them grabbed her shoulder, ripping her blouse and scratching her chest and neck.

She freed herself but then a second man tried to grab her. She swung her handbag at him, catching him on the head. She then managed to get away and ran home.

The first offender is described as in his 20s, about 5ft 7in tall, with a “baby” face and short, dark, spiky hair. He was wearing a white top, dark bottoms and white trainers. The second man is about the same height. He was wearing a dark cap, dark bottoms and dark trainers.

The incident happened on Tuesday evening. Anyone with information is asked to call Medway Police on 01634 884252.
