HEAVY fog claimed three accident victims on the M20 last evening.

A 59-year-old man suffered head injuries when his car crashed on the coastbound carriageway at the M26 junction, near Wrotham, at about 6.40pm.

A 17-year-old man was taken to Maidstone Hospital after his car crashed on the London-bound carriageway near Leybourne, at about 7.20pm.

A third person was taken to hospital after another crash on the coastbound carriageway at about 7.50pm, just before the turnoff to Leybourne.

A fourth accident near the same junction only a quarter of an hour later did not cause any serious injuries.
