FIVE people have appeared in court accused of an unprovoked racial attack in Bromley town centre.
Jack Anthony Howe, 18, and four youths who cannot be named for legal reasons, allegedly wounded Somalian Abdu Mohammed in Tweedy Road, on Monday, May 7.
They appeared before Bromley Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, each charged by police with racially aggravated wounding.
Howe, of Baring Road, Grove Park, indicated a plea of not guilty. A 17-year-old boy from Eltham also indicated a not guilty plea.
A 17-year-old boy from Grove Park, a 17-year-old boy from Lewisham and a 16-year-old boy from Deptford gave no indication of pleas.
They will be committed to crown court on Wednesday, August 15.
