Traffic was delayed by a three-vehicle accident on Monday morning on the A2 near Brenley Corner roundabout.

The crash happened about 8am in heavy rain and fog on the London-bound carriageway at Boughton.

One lane was blocked and traffic was slow moving for about a mile.

The wet and and windy weather caused a tree to come down between Lower Hardres and Bridge.

Bridge Road was passable to traffic on Monday, but motorists were being advised to avoid using the road until further notice.
