A car flipped on the A2 today causing long tailbacks.

The motor was left on its roof in the middle of the London-bound carriageway at A227 Wrotham Road.

It happened near Gravesend East Tollgate Services and stopped traffic and all three lanes at around 7.30am.

Earlier a truck carrying bread had crashed nearby and shed its load on the carriageway causing delays.
