A busy road is closed in both directions after a serious crash this morning.

The A268 Rye Road was shut to traffic after the crash at around 6.25am between All Saints Road at Hawkhurst and Bodiam Road in Sandhurst.

Two fire engines and police have been helping at the crash scene.
