BAFTA award-winning actor Christopher Langham has appeared before a court accused of nine sex offences.
The 57-year-old actor from Golford, near Cranbrook, was in the dock at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
He was charged with nine counts of indecent assault contrary to the Sexual Offences Act 1956 when he answered police bail this week.
Langham, who picked up Baftas in May for his role in the BBC comedies The Thick Of It and Help, spoke only to confirm his name and address.
His case was referred to Maidstone Crown Court, where he will appear on Friday, October 6.
He was given bail until that appearance, on the condition that he has no unsupervised access to any person aged under 16, and no direct or indirect contact with three unnamed people.
In May Langham was charged with 15 counts of making indecent images of children, all relating to movie clips.
He will appear at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court on Monday, October 2, on those charges, when the case is expected to be referred to crown court.
It emerged this week that the twice married father-of-five will not feature in the Christmas special of The Thick Of It, and he has withdrawn from BBC projects during the legal proceedings.
