A man has been charged after a shooting in Railway Street, Gillingham.

Adam Green, 24, unemployed, of Hards Town, Chatham has been charged with an incident in Railway Street, Gillingham, on Thursday, April 12, which is thought to have led to the shooting the following day.

Green has been charged with one count of threats to kill and one count of affray and appeared in court today.

The alleged offences relate to an incident at about 3pm on Thursday, April 12, at an industrial plot comprising several vehicle-related businesses.

Green has been remanded in custody until April 23, to reappear at Medway Magistrates' Court.

Another man has been arrested in relation to the shooting, after handing himself into police at 9.30am this morning.

Police are still hunting for another man.

Three other people were arrested and bailed over the weekend in relation to various offences around the alleged business dispute that it is believed led to the shooting.

Two men, a 27-year-old and a 34-year-old, were injured in the shooting but have since been discharged from hospital.

Police have said enquiries are still ongoing.
