Adam Miller's future at Gillingham is not over, according to manager Mark Stimson.
The midfielder (pictured) joined League 2 promotion chasers Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday on an initial one-month loan.
Miller, 27, was one of Stimson’s first signing at the Gills, when he joined from Stevenage in a joint deal with John Nutter in November 2007.
Miller has played 70 times and started the season well, scoring in the season opener against Swindon, but has recently slipped down the pecking order.
Stimson said: "Adam is someone who doesn’t like sitting around and watching. He wants to go and play some football and it’s great that he’s shown that desire.
"He wants to go away and get fit and we wish him all the best.
"Dagenham have some tough fixtures coming up over the next month and we’ll see how he comes out at the end of it.
"He started the season well but lost a bit of form. He needs to play every week to get the best out of himself. Come the end of the month we’ll assess it but the door is not shut for him."
