A SERIES of summer information sessions have been planned for students who are unsure of their educational path once they have received their GCSE results.

The advice surgeries are being held at Hartsdown Technology College, Margate, and are aimed at helping youngsters make informed choices for the next stage of their schooling.

Sue Hornus, director of sixth form studies, said: "When the GCSE results are published some young people are uncertain what choices to make – we give them professional guidance and help them plan their next move."

The surgeries are from noon on Thursday, August 25 – the day students receive their GCSE results, and from 9am on Friday, August 26, Tuesday, August 30, and Wednesday, August 31.

Students should contact the main college reception and ask for Sue Hornus, director of sixth form studies, or vice principal Julie Wilson.

A2 and AS level courses and the Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education (AVCE) are available in a range of subjects including Maths, English, History, Biology, Performing Arts, Health and Social Care, Leisure and Tourism, and Information Technology.
