Two people have been taken to a London hospital following a serious crash near West Malling.
Emergency services were called to a collision between a car and a lorry at the junction of Roughetts Road and A20 London Road in Ryarsh this evening.
The fire service said the road was expected to be closed for some time as crash investigation work took place but it has since reopened.
The crash happened around 7.40pm, with an air ambulance landing nearby.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "Three people were left trapped in one vehicle.
"One person was removed from the vehicle by paramedics and air ambulance doctors before being transported to a London hospital for further treatment.
"A second person was released by firefighters using hydraulic rescue equipment and passed to the care of paramedics.
"A third person was walked free under supervision of paramedics.
"The cause of the crash will be investigated by Kent Police and the road is likely to be closed for some time."
A police spokesman said: "A man and a woman were treated for serious injuries at the scene and then taken to a London hospital for medical attention.
"Another man was taken to a local hospital. Investigations into the circumstances are underway."
