An air ambulance landed in the grounds of Rochester Cathedral to help a man who had tripped down steps after suffering a heart attack.
The 999 call to a private address at Boley Hill, Rochester came at 1.30pm on Tuesday.
The adult male had fallen down stone steps and suffered a serious head injury.
Within six minutes the medical helicopter was at the scene joining paramedics from South East ambulance service.
According to the Air Ambulance incident log the patient was found to be in full cardiac arrest by the time the emergency crews arrived at the scene.
Advanced resuscitation procedures were given by the trauma doctor but despite a prolonged effort the man was declared dead at the scene.
