KENT Police have issued an urgent warning in connection with the theft of a potentially lethal chemical.
The Chlorophosphorous, which can kill if inhaled, was in a tank fitted onto a crop-spraying quadbike. Any anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to dial 999.
Police were alerted to the theft of the quadbike, from an outbuilding at Wybournes Lane, High Halstow, near Rochester, at 1.15pm on Wednesday.
The green Yamaha is used for crop spraying and is fitted with yellow tanks to the front and back that are part of a crop spraying apparatus. The tanks are full of chemicals, one called Cyphermetherin and the other Chlorophosphorous.
A Medway police spokesman said: "These chemicals are extremely dangerous. Members of the public are advised not to go near the quadbike if they know of its whereabouts but to report it to us as quickly as possible."
Anyone who may know where it is should contact police on 999 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
