Kent all-rounder Alex Blake has agreed a new three-year deal which will keep him with the county until the end of the 2013 season.
The 22-year-old has been involved with the Kent set-up from a young age, progressing through the Kent Young Cricketers’ Age Group squads to the Kent Cricket Academy.
Director of cricket Paul Farbrace said: “I am delighted that Alex has committed his future to the club and now look forward to seeing him establish himself in the first team on a regular basis.”
Chairman of cricket Graham Johnson added: “This is a further indication that the work of our coaches in developing young players is bringing results.
"I am sure all in the county look forward to Alex having a long and successful Kent career.”
