Saturday night’s card features the final of the Owners Bonus Series races for grade A3 greyhounds.

After the two semi-final races last weekend, I think that the winner will come from the second semi which saw Evons Kyalli, Cape Dance and Oakfront Guest qualifying for the £500 decider on Saturday.

On paper, Oakfront Guest is probably the fastest greyhound in the line-up. However, he has only managed two wins in his last 12 outings and has been suffering lately from missing his break when the traps open, as was the case in the semi.

Beaten by just two lengths, the outcome may have been different had he trapped level but he certainly can’t afford to repeat the missed break on Saturday if he is to have a chance.

Cape Dance was only a short head behind Evons Kyalli having run on strongly from a bad starting position and he is more than capable of winning this at his best.

If you go back on the form book to last December, you would see that he had been racing in top grade A1 but it also shows that he lost on two previous occasions to Oakfront Guest, so the question has to be, can he reverse the form?

I think that it is unlikely but should there be any trouble in the final, he may well take full advantage.

Evons Kyalli comes into this final in good form having won four of her last seven races and has shown in her 58 races here that she can win on a regular basis.

A winner previously in grade A2, this is not the strongest field that she has ever had to race against and should give a good account of herself.

I would like to give a mention to Boherash Realta who won the March Bitch-Of-The-Month award. She had her first race here in late February and between then and the end of March, she won no fewer than five of her six races climbing up from grade A6 to A2 along the way. She had her first race in top grade A1 at the weekend, finishing fifth and it will not be long until she wins at this level.

She has proved to be somewhat of a revelation and her meteoric rise has been both rapid and impressive.
