Neighbours is returning to television screens just months after the long-running Australian soap aired its final episode.
Former cast members Kylie Minogue, Margot Robbie, Jason Donovan and Guy Pearce all appeared in the special finale, which was shown in the UK on Channel 5 in July and marked the end of a 37-year onscreen run.
But just months after the soap opera rolled what were thought to be its final credits, it has been announced that life on Ramsay Street will be resuming.
Amazon Freevee, which is an advert-supported free steaming service, will bring back a new series of the soap in both the UK and US during the second half of next year.
Fans of the show will also be able to watch thousands of old episodes featuring favourite characters such as Harold and Madge Bishop, Scott and Charlene Robinson and Joe Mangel as Amazon also takes on the entire Neighbours back catalogue.
The new series of Neighbours will begin filming in the new year and will continue to be set in the fictional town of Erinsborough, a suburb of Melbourne.
The show's return was announced on Thursday in a video posted to social media channels featuring Karl and Susan Kennedy, Toadie, and businessman Paul Robinson who dialled in on a video call.
In the short clip which has been liked and shared by thousands of fans, the characters - who are filmed on the Neighbours set - discuss what streaming platform the soap opera will be appearing on and when showings of the new episodes will start.
