An ambulance technician was injured whilst responding to a crash on a major commuter route today.
The single response vehicle was involved in an accident with three other vehicles at 7.15am, while on its way to an earlier crash on the London-bound carriageway of the A299 Thanet Way at Hernhill.
At 6.50am, a Peugeot car hit the crash barrier and span out of control, blocking the carriageway near Dargate.
The South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed the male ambulance technician and the male driver of the Peugeot were taken to the QEQM hospital at Margate suffering from minor injuries.
The Thanet Way was closed coast-bound until 9am, while police cleared the two accidents.
