Ambulance in crash with people carrier

THIS was the scene when an ambulance and a black people carrier were involved in a crash in Strood.

The collision happened at about 9am on Sunday at the crossroads between Gun Lane, Cuxton Road and the High Street.

It is not known if the ambulance was answering an emergency call.

Another ambulance was called but none of the passengers is thought to have suffered any serious injuries. Traffic had to be diverted.

A fire crew from Strood attended after it was reported an oxygen cylinder had been punctured.
