HUNDREDS of young people competed in activities ranging from five-a-side football to the arcade game Dance Mat at a county sports day final on Sunday.
Nearly 350 youngsters represented their areas at the Body and Mind sports centre in Canterbury.
Between February and April competitors in two age groups, 12 to 15 and 16 to 19 years, from centres run by Kent County Council’s youth service, took part in heats in five-a-side football, basketball, netball, table tennis, pool and Dance Mat.
Sunday marked the final of the heats. As well as the main events, there was also a chance for competitors and spectators to try out other activities including trampolining and cricket.
The winners in each event were presented with medals, and there were certificates and T-shirts for all competitors.
KCC cabinet member for communities Mike Hill said: "This was a great opportunity for youth centre members to come together in a fun, shared event whilst representing their local areas."
