POLICE were called to Sutton Road in Maidstone this morning after a minibus was involved in a collision with a BMW.

The crash happened at the junction of Sutton Road and Grove Road near Kent Police headquarters.

Early reports suggested that the Iveco minibus, said to be carrying 14 elderly people, went into the back of the BMW.

Reports suggest that five of the minibus’s occupants have been taken to Maidstone Hospital, along with the driver of the BMW.

Howvever, this is said to be only precautionary with no life-threatening injuries thought to have been sustained.
