BRAD Anderson clinched the Four-stroke Championship by just three points at the final round of the Multi MX British Motocross Championship at Canada Heights

Despite riding hard in the event, organised by the Sidcup and District Motorcycle Club, Anderson couldn’t prevent rival Wayne Smith beating him in the first race of the day.

Smith and Neville Bradshaw pushed Anderson into third in the second race, but Anderson’s previous performances this season ensured he took the overall title ahead of Smith and Mark Jones.

The winners of the two other championships were already known before Sunday but this didn’t deny the large crowd exciting racing.

In the under-21s, Tommy Searl was aiming to round off his title-winning season in style and romped home to two wins for maximum points.

Lewis Gregory rode solidly to pick up a second and a third to ensure second overall with team-mate John May third.

Stuart Brown and Jason Peters were already assured of the Sidecar Championship, and proved why they are the class of the field.

Seven outfits failed to last the course, but Brown and Peters had no troubles as they collected maximum points.

The Watson brothers, John and Mark, claimed second in the first race, ahead of Rob Topp and Rob Batten. In the second race, Stewart Lines and Michael Stones came second, with Martin Guildford and Luke Peters in third.

Brown and Peters took the title by 106 points from Watson brothers John and Mark.
