Passengers are set to face further disruption on the rails this month as the RMT union prepares to strike again.

Commuters across Kent are being warned about planned industrial action on July 20, 22 and 29 – when stations will be shut and no replacement bus services will be available.

Only 58 of 180 stations across the county will be open.

Southeastern has apologised for the potential disruption and urged customers to check before they travel.

The company adds that if the strikes were to be called off at the last minute, trains may not be able to return to their usual timetable straight away.

Furthermore, ASLEF union members will not be working overtime from July 17 to July 22.

Southeastern said: “Strike action is taking place on our network on 20, 22 and 29 July.

“On these dates there will be a limited service running on our network.

“Some routes will be closed, and there are no replacement buses. Please check before you travel.

“If the strike action is cancelled at short notice we may not be able to switch back to our normal timetable immediately.

“We are very sorry for any inconvenience the strike action will cause you.”
