POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was assaulted by two or three offenders at a railway station.

The victim suffered cuts and bruises in the incident at Snodland rail station, near the barrier which leads towards Churchfield.

Police say there are no descriptions of the offenders. It is believed that a man and a woman may have helped the victim following the incident on November 7 between 8pm and 9.30pm, and police would like to speak to them.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Gen Wood on 01622 604187, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 – this call is free and confidential.
