POLICE are asking people to keep a look out for distinctive ski-wear worth around £2,000 which was stolen from a car.

The clothing, which has a unique design and is manufactured by Swiss firm Volkl, was stolen from a car roof box in Cloke Mews, Borough Green, between 11pm on Monday, February 10, and 7.30pm on Tuesday, February 11.

Police are hoping the fact that these items are all one-off garments and are samples from next season's collection, will make them easily identifiable.

The items that were stolen were: three Volkl team ski jackets, one white, one red and one black; three Volkl team ski pants, one white, one red and one black, and five Volkl energy vent pants in various colours.

PC Antony Wiles said: "Any reputable outlet approached by someone offering these items for sale will know they are stolen goods. If members of the public are offered the opportunity to buy Volkl ski-wear from anywhere other than a recognised supplier, we would urge them to contact us."

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 01732 771055 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
