Kent Police have charged a man after a stand-off in Minster on Wednesday night.

Dwain James Beckett, 27, of Noreen Avenue, Minster has been charged with two counts of false imprisonment, criminal damage, arson and public order offences, as well as possession of a bladed article.

He is due before Sittingbourne Magistrates this afternoon.
