There’s been something of a baby boom at the Museum of Kent Life, now simply Kent Life, ahead of its re-opening on April 4.

The museum in Sandling, near Maidstone, which is re-opening under a new name with new activities, including a children’s play area and an area where visitors can pet the animals, has several expectant mothers amongst its flock and some newborns have already made an appearance.

Two day-old lambs are settling in with the museum’s other lambs and sheep; two cows are expecting any day, and Dora, one of the museum’s donkeys, is also expecting around the time that it re-opens to the public.

See our video of one of the lambs finding its feet.
