A BABY boy who suffered serious head injuries in a road accident in Marden on Thursday has made such an improvement that he is to be transferred to Maidstone Hospital.
The five-month-old baby, described as critically ill on Monday, is being treated in a London hospital for head injuries he sustained in the accident in Pattenden Lane, Marden just before 1pm.
But his condition had improved significantly today so that doctors were preparing to transfer him to a ward at Maidstone.
Maidstone and Malling Police are appealing for information about the crash which involved three cars, a Citroen, a Ford Escort and a Renault 19.
The baby was travelling with his mother and brother in the Ford Escort when the accident happened.
The male driver of the Citroen escaped uninjured, while a couple in the Renault were taken to hospital with minor head injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact PC Tony Howland on 01622 608061.
