Residents of Bexley will be gathering at Hurstmere school this evening for this year's Bexley in Bloom Award Ceremony.

Sponsored by Bexey Extra, the evening will kick off at 7pm with the borough's dignitaries set to attend.

Awards up for grabs include Front Garden - Seasonal and Container Planting, Front Garden - Permanent Planting, Business/Public Premises, Shared Gardens, Back Gardens, School Gardens and the Allotment Category.

Plus new this year: Heaviest Marrow (schools only), School Vegetable Plots and the Wildlife Garden category.
