A motorcyclist died in hospital after being involved in a crash with a car in Dartford.

The smash happened at around 9.35pm Saturday at the Pilgrims Way junction with Canterbury Close. A black Honda motorcycle collided with a black Ford Fiesta.

The rider - a 52-year-old local man - was taken to hospital with serious injuries but was pronounced dead soon after arrival.

The road was closed until around 3.30am Sunday.
