KENT County Show-goers can book their tickets online thanks to a Sittingbourne firm.

The website www.kentshowground.co.uk has been set up under a partnership between Kent County Agricultural Society (KCAS), show organisers, and InfoTech Solutions (UK).

Based at St George's Business Park, Sittingbourne, the firm was asked to develop the website for the County Showground at Detling as a whole, as well as the County Show.

Frances Day, KCAS chief executive, said: "We were looking for a practical easy-to-use solution for prospective visitors looking to buy tickets and save time when they arrive.

"InfoTech provided us with everything we asked for and the project was delivered on time, and to budget."

The site went live after three months development and has already enjoyed thousands of hits.

More than 500 adult tickets have been booked at £9.50 compared to £11 if purchased at the gate.
