More freezing overnight weather conditions and cold days predicted for Kent

Kent is facing a second night of temperatures falling below zero.

Yesterday, Kent County Council teams confirmed gritters would be tackling all main roads in the county as road surface conditions fell below freezing point.

Met Office data shows parts of Kent could reach -2C tonight, with the highest daytime temperature predicted to be 5C.

Kent woke up to a frosty start this morning and temperatures are forecast to stay low

Last night the mercury dropped to just below zero but the coldest point so far has been 8am this morning with figures hovering around -1C.

The Met Office forecasts for temperatures to stay low (high of 3C, night-time low of 0C) between Monday and Wednesday with slightly warmer conditions expected from Friday.

KCC also predicts its gritting teams to be back out during the early part of this week.
